FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

1. The tour seems perfect to me, I know I don’t have much time, but is it enough to visit Machu Picchu?

Certainly, choosing any itinerary, you will have between 3 to 4 hours at the citadel, two hours for a guided informational tour, and then free time.

2. I want the tour, but including the ascent to Wayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. You can climb early in the morning to Machu Picchu, then before or after the guided tour, you can do these extra hikes. This will depend on the schedule you have for accessing the mountains. We take care of making these additional mountain access reservations.

3. I arrive one day earlier in Cusco, do you think I will have problems with the altitude at Machu Picchu?

Many people arrive in the same way as you do. Machu Picchu is much lower in altitude than Cusco, so if you have any problems in Cusco, you will surely feel better in Machu Picchu because the only way to avoid problems or complications with altitude is to descend. Cusco (3350 masl) Machu Picchu (2450 masl), Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Town (2050 masl).

4. I’m traveling with my family, we have an 8-year-old child and a 65-year-old adult, will there be much difficulty for them?

This tour is one of the most comfortable. However, in Machu Picchu, there is walking involved; it is the only way to visit the park. If someone has difficulty walking, I recommend taking a private tour, so they can do the tour at their own pace without following a group.

5. I don’t like to give my personal passport information, is there a way to book the tour only with names?

We understand your concern, but the requested data is exclusively to fill in the information on your tickets. These tickets are electronic tickets, it’s like taking a plane, you have to show the ticket and your original passport. Our privacy policies are very strict, your information will be in safe hands, we also hate SPAM.

6. What if I have a delay and cannot do the tour?

Unfortunately, all tickets would be purchased and you would lose the entire tour. Any change or cancellation of the tour has a penalty. This rarely happens, but if it were to happen, we assure you that we would do everything in our power to assist you. We recommend reviewing our refund/cancellation policies.

7. How far in advance should I book the Machu Picchu by Bus Tour?

It is recommended to book the Machu Picchu by Bus Tour at least one month in advance in low season and 2 to 3 months in advance in high season.

8. What is the best season to do the Machu Picchu by Bus Tour?

The best season to do the Machu Picchu by Bus Tour is during the dry season, which runs from May to September, but if you want a more lush, wooded landscape with fewer people, you can do it from October to April.

9. Can I add Waynapicchu to this tour?

Yes, you just need to request it via WhatsApp to add Waynapicchu but keep in mind there is an extra cost and consider your physical condition.

10. Do children and students pay the same ticket price as adults?

Yes, children and students pay a reduced price compared to adults to enter Machu Picchu.

11. From what time can I enter Machu Picchu?

The Machu Picchu sanctuary is open from 6 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that the last entry to the sanctuary is at 3:00 p.m.

12. How long does the visit to the Machu Picchu Llaqta last?

The visit to the Machu Picchu Llaqta lasts approximately 4 hours. Remember that if you enter at the last time slot of 3:00 p.m., you will only have 2 hours to visit, as they close at 5:00 p.m.
